Giants. Eine Reise ohne Ende

Don Quixote embarks on a journey to seek love that is absolute and completely fulfilling. On stage, two dancers encounter each other in intimate gestures, touching, caressing, and hurting each other. Movement, gestures, and fragments of text intersect, overlap, and interweave, yet never fully agree. Giants references feminist icons Kathy Acker and Monique Wittig, Cervantes' classic Don Quixote, 500-year-old midwifery books, and very personal experiences, woven together into a shadow play.

Running away is easy, it’s the leaving that’s hard – vom Kindsein und Loslassen

The exhibition centers on the newly produced video work “Running away is easy, it's the leaving that's hard” (2025), which explores how being queer influences the decision to leave rural hometowns. Pierre-Yves Delannoy and Mauricio Hölzemann work as artists and live together as a couple. For their new video they accompanied each other to their respective hometowns—Châlons-en-Champagne in France and Filderstadt in Baden-Württemberg. They return to leave again—this time not in a hurry, but with a conscious farewell.
This leads to one thing above all else: a reunion!
